Vickers began his career in the funeral industry at Texarkana Funeral Home in 1990. His grandfather, Howard Fuqua, and Harry Everett started the funeral home in 1939, thus making Vickers a 3rd generation funeral director. Vickers was born and raised in Texarkana and participates in many community activities. He and his wife, Whitney, have a wonderful young daughter, Bella, and son Ayres. He feels fortunate to serve his community and be there for families in their time of need.
Archie is a lifelong resident of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a graduate of Arkansas High School. After working part-time at Texarkana Funeral Home, he decided to pursue a career in funeral service. He knew that funeral service was a business, but he also saw the ministry to families during a time of great loss. He graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1992 and immediately began his funeral service career at Texarkana Funeral Home. He also serves as Deputy Coroner for Miller County under the direction of Kelly Rowland.
Archie is a member of the Arkansas and Texas Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association. He is happily married to his wife Christy, a teacher at Leary Independent School District. They were married for ten years before God blessed them with a son they named Aidan. He, along with his sister Emily, has been a great blessing in the life of Archie and Christy. Archie thanks God daily for the gift of eternal life and the gift of his precious wife, son, and daughter. His church is another important aspect in his life. He and his family attend Faith Baptist Church, where Archie is a Sunday school teacher, deacon, and choir member. He is active in Awana, which teaches children scripture. He loves spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and playing Frisbee with his dog, Blaze, a five-year-old Border Collie.
Danny is a second-generation funeral director, following in the footsteps of his father, Robert D. Cowley Jr. He was born and raised in Texarkana, Texas. After graduating from Texas Senior High School, Danny went on to receive an associate degree in business administration from Texarkana College. He later attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, where he was honored with the Academic Achievement Award. Danny is a licensed Funeral director in the state of Arkansas and Texas and has been with Texarkana Funeral Home for over 28 years. Danny and his wife, Tammie, have been married for over 30 years and have one son, Bradley. The Cowleys are members of the First Church of the Nazarene. In his spare time, Danny enjoys being outdoors, usually camping or water skiing. Danny is an avid sports fan and spends most of the football season keeping up with his favorite teams.
Erica is a Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer for Bates-Rolf Funeral Home, located in New Boston, Texas. She has been with our company since 2019. A native of Maud, Texas, Erica graduated from Maud ISD in 2010. She then went on to graduate from The University of Oklahoma in 2014, where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology/Sociology. After many years of soul-searching, Erica found herself being called to work in funeral service. In 2021, Erica graduated from The University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana with an Associate’s Degree in Funeral Services. She now holds a Funeral Director/Embalmer License in Texas and Arkansas. In her free time, Erica enjoys staying indoors, usually by taking naps, watching her favorite television shows on repeat, and watching the Oklahoma Sooners. BOOMER!
Madalin, or Maddie, is a lifelong resident of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a graduate of Fouke High School. After losing her great-grandmother, Johnnie Ruth, in 2015, she knew she wanted to pursue a career in funeral services. She is a graduate of Northeast Texas with a degree in Funeral Service Education and Mortuary Science. She is currently aiming to become licensed in embalming as well. She is a first-generation funeral director who is licensed in Texas and Arkansas.
In her spare time, she enjoys reading through her never-ending "To Be Read" list, listening to true crime podcasts, and spending time with her family and her beloved pug, Ivy.
