Zane Gray, age 84, of Ashdown, Arkansas, died Friday, May 8, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Gray was born on November 27, 1941, in Miller County, Arkansas. He honorably retired from the Texarkana Arkansas Police Department after twenty years of dedicated service to his community.  He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Kevin Gray.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Gray of Ashdown, Arkansas, one daughter, Lori Pace of Ashdown, Arkansas, one sister, Wanda Zachery of Ashdown, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Sarah Gray, Tyler Pace, Trevor Pace, and Mallory Jehl, and a host of friends and other relatives.

Memorials may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, New York 10306.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.
