William Andrew Harris, age 89, of Bradley, Arkansas, passed away on September 12, 2025. He was born on November 27, 1935, in Bradley, Arkansas, to Olillian and Willie Harris.

William spent his working years as a dedicated foreman at Desert Mineral. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life — snacking, telling stories, reading the Bible and the newspaper, watching old Westerns, playing dominoes, and cheering on basketball games. He was renowned for his profound faith, unwavering work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family describes him as a hardworking, God-fearing man who always put his loved ones first.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Olillian Harris; his brothers, Jessie Harris, Leonard Harris, Clifton Harris, W.T. Harris, John Glen Harris, and T.H. Harris; and his sisters, Pearlie May Mitchel, Willie May Daniels, and Betty Sue Taylor.

Left to cherish his memory are his faithful wife of 67 years, Rachel Harris; sons, Freddy Leroy Steger, Michael Bartholomew Harris-Thomas, and William Andrew Harris, Jr.; daughters, Rochelle Ridgeway, Brenda Harris-Smith, and Lorna Jean Harris; brothers, Richard Harris, George Lee Harris, and Tyrone Harris; sisters, Martha Ann Moore and Mary Harris Bayliss; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, four sisters-in-law, and one brother-in-law.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 26, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Chapelwood Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM, also at Chapelwood Funeral Home, with Reverend Michael Harris-Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Garden.

William's legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in all who knew and loved him.
