William "Buck" G. Clark, 81, of Cordova, Tennessee, passed away on July 26, 2025. Born in San Antonio, Texas on April 8, 1944, Buck lived a life marked by unwavering faith and a deep commitment to serving others. He was a proud retiree of the U.S. Army Reserves and spent his professional career as an industrial engineer with the Defense Logistics Agency, dedicating his talents to the country he loved.

After retiring from Federal Service, Buck made his home in the Memphis area to be closer to his children. He quickly became a beloved presence in his community, especially at Bellevue Baptist Church in Cordova, where he was an active and faithful member for more than 25 years. Buck had a heart for ministry and a passion for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ. He joyfully served in multiple church ministries and, for 34 years, devoted himself to Gideons International. Each week, he could be found handing out Bibles, witnessing to strangers, and pouring the love of Christ into his community. His most treasured mission was his long-standing involvement in jail ministry, where he faithfully served for over two decades.

Buck was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Helen (Watlington) Clark, his brother Charles Clark, and his beloved wife of 44 years, Thresia Clark. He is survived by his son, Bill Clark and wife Stephanie; his stepdaughter, Kim Scudder ; two grandchildren, Kamryn Scudder and Joseph Clark; one great-grandaughter, Emori Gatewood; and one brother, John Clark.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 4th, at Bellevue Baptist Church Chapel, with visitation from 5:00–6:00 PM and service at 6:00 PM.

Funeral services will take place in Texarkana, Texas, on Saturday, August 9 at Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, followed by a 10:00 AM service and interment directly afterwards at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
