Dr. Tom Wright, age 81, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on April 8, 2025. He was born on April 28, 1943, in Bonham, Texas to Nannie Jo Graham and Roy Thomas Wright.

He spent his working days as a psychologist, author, and artist. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and photography. Not to mention all the piddling he did.

His family described him as  a loving husband, father, grandfather, and fun companion. He was a very intelligent, outstanding scholar and very loyal dependable man.

Mr. Roy was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, William Glenn Wright; daughter, Grace Alexander; and nephew Sean M. Wright.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Mary Pat Carlson Wright; brother and sister-in-law, James P. and Charolette Wright; brothers-in-law and wives; Bill and Linda Carlson, Mark and Kelly Carlson, Jim and Sherri Carlson, numerous grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church. 1621 Sugar Hill Road Texarkana, Arkansas 71854.
