Stephanie Ann Frady Murphy, age 62, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2026. She was born in Texarkana, Texas, on September 5, 1963, to John and Nedra Frady.

A 1982 graduate of Hope High School, she attended Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and she also received a business degree from Texas A&M University Texarkana. She began her career in the petroleum industry with EZ Mart and Truman Arnold in Texarkana before moving to Atlanta, Georgia to work for TransMontaigne Oil. At this time, she met the love of her life, Guerry Murphy. They were married on September 30, 2000, and moved to Knoxville, Tennessee, where she worked as a fuel manager for Pilot Oil and Hackney Petroleum. On September 25, 2002, the second love of her life, Peyton John Murphy, was born.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Guerry Murphy, and her son, Peyton Murphy, of Knoxville, Tennessee, and a stepson, Brandon Murphy, of Nashville, Tennessee. She is also survived by her parents; John and Nedra Frady of Texarkana, Texas, and one sister, Pamela Frady also of Texarkana, Texas.

A funeral service for Stephanie will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home.

Mrs. Murphy will be laid to rest at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens following the service.
