Sharon Murlene Fry Pitman, age 77, of Red Lick, Texas, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones. Sharon was born and raised in Texas, where she built a lifetime of love, laughter, and faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William M. Fry and Mollie Fry Walker, and her brother, Rickie Fry.

She is survived by her devoted husband of nearly 60 years, William "Bill" Pitman; their children, Billy (Kari) Pitman, Dawn (Richard) Griffin, all of Red Lick, TX, Shannon Pitman of Columbia, TN and her loved like a son nephew Scott (Michelle) Pitman of Hooks, TX; her thirteen beloved grandchildren who affectionately called her "Nana"; and twelve great-grandbabies who brought endless joy to her life.

She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters Bear (Wanda) Fry, Deborah (Don) McEntire, Donna Fisher, Mark (Karla) Fry, and Carmen (Mark) Vance, along with many nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.

Sharon was a member of Grace Church in Nash, TX, where she found great comfort in her faith and deep community with those she worshiped beside. She will be remembered for her steadfast love, her generous spirit, and the warmth that filled every room she entered. Sharon used her culinary and planning talents for many years for friends and family weddings and special events and she loved crafting and watching crafting shows and gardening. She was a proud member of the Sovereign Cherokee Nation Tejas.

Visitation will be at Chapelwood Funeral Home in Nash Texas, Monday, April 20th from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm and a celebration of Sharon's life will be held Chapelwood Funeral home on Tuesday, April 21st at 11:00 am where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind. Burial at Red Lick Cemetery will follow. The family will receive friends after the graveside service at Grace Church, Nash, Texas.
