Sandra Kennedy, 72, of Texarkana, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026, at a local hospital. She was born on July 23, 1953, in Texarkana.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Gus Kennedy.

A faithful member of St. James Episcopal Church, Sandra devoted many years of service as the church secretary.  Sandra's quiet acts of kindness touched the lives of many.

Above all, Sandra treasured her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children, Paul Ray Kennedy, Gus Kennedy III, and Kathy Kennedy Worley. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren and a cherished great-grandmother to seven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

Sandra will be remembered for her warm smile, her servant's heart, and the love she shared with her family, friends, and church community. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the St. James Episcopal Church Memorial Fund in Sandra's honor.

Memorial service wil be held 10:30 AM, Thursday, July 23, 2026 at St. James Episcopal Church.
