Ronald "Ron" Balladarsch Sr., 82, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, to Doris and Earnest Balladarsch.

Ron was a man of quiet strength, steady faith, and deep love for his family. A devoted Christian and longtime member of First Baptist Church–Moores Lane, he lived his faith daily through kindness, humility, and service to others. He spent his career as a bank manager at Regions Bank, where he was respected for his integrity, dedication, and genuine care for people. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Ron found joy in life's simple moments. He loved fishing, appreciating the peace it brought him, and he was an avid reader who rarely went without a book nearby. Above all, he treasured time spent with his family. His faithful companions, Archie and Molly, brought him comfort and companionship.

To his family, Ron was a steady presence and a source of unconditional love. He was gentle, kind, and deeply devoted, especially to his beloved wife, Janice, the love of his life. He carried her memory with him always.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Janice; parents; sister, Linda Mabry; brother-in-law, Louis.

Left to cherish his memory are sons, Ronnie (Becky) Balladarsch Jr., Kevin (Sandy) Jeter, and David (Malia) Jeter; daughters, Kim (W.L.) Westbrook and Jill (Michael-Preceded) Ingram; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, April 27, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to be made to Hospice of Texarkana or In His Heart Ministries.

Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds peace in knowing he is reunited with Janice, resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior.
