Phyllis Jane Hensley, age 80, of Texarkana, Arkansas, passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 10, 2026. Born on March 6, 1946, in Texarkana, Arkansas to Paul and Edith Pankey, Phyllis lived a life marked by faith, love, compassion, and devotion to her family.

Phyllis was a devoted wife to Jerry Wayne Hensley, with whom she shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they built a strong family foundation that will continue to bless future generations. She will be remembered most for her selfless heart and caring spirit. As a natural caregiver, she consistently placed the needs of others before her own, touching countless lives through her kindness and generosity.

An avid quilter, Phyllis found joy in creating beautiful handmade treasures and was a proud member of the Ladies of Trinity Quilters. She was also a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Texarkana, Arkansas, where her faith guided her daily life and relationships.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Edith Pankey.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband, Jerry Hensley; her son, Greg Hensley and wife Stacey of Genoa, Arkansas; her daughter, Becky Hill and husband Kendall of DeKalb, Texas; her sisters, Patsy Slover and husband Don of Quitman, Texas, and Gwen Springer of Rockwall, Texas; and her brother, Randy Pankey of Texarkana, Arkansas.

She also leaves behind six beloved grandchildren: Ashley Higgins and husband Golden, Ryan Hill and wife Lacey, Cami Hensley, Gracey Jackson and husband Jacob, Rylee Hensley, and Emmy Hensley; along with six treasured great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy to her life.

Funeral services will be held under the direction of Texarkana Arkansas Funeral Home on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., officiated by Rev. Wallace Edgar and Rev. Donnie Edwards. Burial will be at Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 12, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the chapel of Texarkana Arkansas Funeral Home.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that her legacy of faith, love, and service will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
