Patrice 'Patty' Marie Vitale-Owens, age 42, of Wake Village, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

She is survived by her three children, Matthew, Chyanne, and Jacob Owens; her father, John Vitale; her brother, Robert Vitale (Anna); her sister, Debrah Vitale; her ex-husband, David Owens (Kaylie); her daughters' five best friends whom were her "adopted" children; her two beloved cats, Salem and Duke; other extended family members, and many friends who loved her dearly.

Born on May 19, 1983, Patty was known for her love of theater and for being a bright light, much like her mother, Vicki Vitale, who preceded her in death ten years earlier.

Patty had a remarkable green thumb and took pride in bringing life to everything she planted. Her love of baking filled her home with warmth and comfort, and her kitchen was often a place of gathering, laughter, and shared memories. She delighted in passing down her recipes, skills, and love for baking to her children, creating traditions that will live on through them.

She also had a deep love for animals, treating them as family and offering kindness to every creature she encountered. Her two cats were a constant source of comfort and companionship, reflecting her gentle and compassionate nature.

Patty's legacy will continue to live through her children and all whom knew her.

A memorial visitation will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Chapelwood Funeral Home
