Lloyd Cris Sneed

Lloyd Cris Sneed, age 74, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died on Saturday, June 13, 2026, in a local hospice facility.

Cris was born on August 17, 1951, in Marion, Ohio, and lived in Texarkana most of his life.

Though he could be outspoken at times, those who knew him best understood that beneath his tough exterior was a man who cared deeply for his family. His love was often shown through his actions, steadfast support, and unwavering dedication rather than words. Cris found his greatest peace outdoors, where he enjoyed hunting and fishing and felt most at home surrounded by nature. Whether on the water or in the woods, he treasured the beauty of nature. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Sneed, and one brother, Craig Sneed.

He is survived by his father, Leonard Sneed of Texarkana, Arkansas; two brothers, Cory Sneed of East Camden, Arkansas, and Clay and wife Sonya Sneed of the Philippines; four nephews, Justin Sneed and his husband, Jason of Fayetteville, Arkansas; Alan Sneed and his wife, Molly of Texarkana, Arkansas; Craig Sneed of Shreveport, Louisiana; Dalton Sneed of Wilmington, North Carolina; three nieces, Christine Sneed of Pasadena, California, Mary Leigh and her husband, James of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and Lauren Sneed of Shreveport, Louisiana; one great nephew, Logan Sneed and two great nieces, Athena Sneed, and Ophelia Sneed and a host of friends and other relatives.

A memorial graveside service will be 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Memorial Gardens, with Alan Sneed officiating.
