Leon B. Foster, age 80, of Texarkana, Texas died Wednesday, May 6, 2026 in a local hospital.

Mr. Foster was born in Stamps, Arkansas to Reuben M. Foster and Alma Hunter on August 3, 1945.

He was past employed at Allen White Furniture, Lone Star Army Ammunition Plant, Texarkana Arkansas Police Department, Union Pacific Railroad, Christus St. Michael Security and was a U.S. Army veteran having served during the Vietnam War.

He loved fishing, hunting, fixing things and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Marvin Foster and by a grandson, Maxwell Foster.

He is survived by his wife of fifty six years, Clilene Foster; one son, Kevin Foster; one daughter, Wendy Foster; three grandchildren, Anthony Foster and fiancé Ta'myah Evans-Carmichael, Alexandrya Franklin and Liberty Foster; special friends Brian and Sheila Griffith, his best friend, Harold Vines and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday May 9, 2026 at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wallace Edgar officiating. Private burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 5-7 P.M.
