Lavelle T. Meador, age 88, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, October 7, 2026 in a local nursing center.

Mrs. Meador was born June 13, 1938 in Atlanta, Texas. She was a hair stylist and was a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Meador.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Julie Meador of Texarkana, Texas and Mark and Kathy Meador of Atlanta, Texas; ten grandchildren, Cole Meador and wife Holland, Landon Meador and wife Courtney, Davis Meador, Ella Meador, Reagan Meador, Gavin Meador, Brad Meador, Ricky Meador, Kevin Meador and Britteny Meador; two great-grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 12, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas with Jerry Black officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 3-5 P.M.
