Kenneth Wayne Cosby went to be with the Lord on June 14, 2025, in Texarkana, Texas. He was born on January 30, 1949, to Burton and Stachie Cosby in Harrogate, Tennessee. He served in the Air Force from 1968 to 1972 with time spent in Vietnam. He retired from the Union Pacific Railroad. He was a member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 278 and a Master Mason with Hugh Harris Lodge 938 in Corbin, Kentucky.

He is preceded in death by his sister Kathleen Smith, and mother and father, Burton and Stachie Cosby. He is survived by his wife Debra of 41 years, daughters Karen Cosby, Caroline Smith (Brandon), two grandchildren Logan and Lauren Smith, who he adored. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Barbara Diemer and Betty Harlan of Louisville, Kentucky along with several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Kenneth wished donations would be sent to The Fellowship of Christians and Jews, First Baptist of Wake Village, or Samaritan's Purse.

The family would like to thank the nurses in the Neuro ICU of Ochsner LSU in Shreveport and Hospice of Texarkana for their excellent care.

Funeral service will be Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 11:00AM at Chapelwood Funeral Home. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM.
