Joyce Walraven, 83, of Redwater, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 23, 2026. Born on May 3, 1943, in New Boston, to Della Tutt Raney and William Archie Tutt, Joyce lived a life centered on faith, family, and love.

Joyce was self-employed for many years while also dedicating herself to being a loving homemaker. She found joy in the simple things — tending to her yard, spending precious time with her children and grandchildren, and serving her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Her strong faith guided the way she lived and cared for others each day.

To know Joyce was to know kindness. She had a warm heart, a gentle spirit, and a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved. Her family remembers her as a God-fearing woman who was always there with open arms, comforting words, and unconditional love. She touched countless lives with her compassion and generosity, and her presence was truly a blessing to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Coy Walraven; her parents, Della and William Tutt; her sisters, Ruby and Viola Singleton; her brothers, William Lenoy Tutt and James Albert Tutt; and her grandchildren, Tron Lee Ryan, Ronnie Joe Smith, and Joseph Allen Smith.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Gaylan Hearn and husband Ben, Kenneth Hastings and Gay, Connie Buchanan, Dwayne Hastings and wife Debbie, Belinda Clark and spouse Aaron Flinchum, and Tonya Brooks and spouse Ruel Scott; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; along with many other beloved family members and dear friends.

Though her family's hearts are heavy with loss, they find comfort in knowing Joyce's love, faith, and gentle spirit will live on through the many lives she touched.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, with Brother Darren Faulknor officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, May 28, 2026, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
