Johnnie McLeod Williams, 89, of Texarkana, Texas died Monday, October 5, 2015 in a local retirement center. Johnnie was born on June 10, 1926 in Maud, Texas. She was retired from General Telephone Company and a member of Williams Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert G. Williams; one son and daughter in-law, David and Ann Marie McLeod of Diana, Texas; one daughter, Angela McLeod Shields of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Betty Benson of Garland, Texas and Mildred Ambler of Texarkana; three grandsons, Mark and his wife DeAnn Fields of Fouke, Arkansas, David McLeod of Haughton, Louisiana, Chris McLeod of Tyler, Texas; six great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 p. m. Thursday, October 8, 2015 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Rev. Scott Neathery officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
