Jimmy Leon Fitzgerald, age 77, of Texarkana, Texas, died Monday, May 19, 2025 in a local hospital.

Mr. Fitzgerald was born January 8, 1948 in Texarkana, Arkansas. He was a retired diesel mechanic, member of the Highland Church of Christ, member of the Texarkana Coin Club and member of the Arklatex Road Runners Club.

He is survived by his wife Rita Coffey Fitzgerald of Texarkana, Texas; one daughter, Laura Rayburn of Simms, Texas; one son, Scott Fitzgerald of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren, Sarah,Charlotte,Stacy,Kayli and Sam.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2025 at the Highland Church of Christ with Chris Hooten officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6-7:30 P.M.
