James Morgan (Jim) Ragland passed away April 25, 2025. Jim was born in the original Texarkana Hospital on November 17, 1946, to James Lunda and Mattie Lenora Morgan Ragland. Jim retired after 52 years of banking. Jim's last employer was Texas National Bank of Jacksonville, Texas where he was the Senior Vice-President of Risk Management.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lenora Ann Ragland Dickens. Survivors include his wife Jan Tedder Goodson, two sons, Aaron Ragland and wife Sherry, Adam Ragland and wife Mandi, daughter, Elizabeth Beasley and husband Shawn, one sister Linda Ragland Pipes and husband Ed. Jim is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren: Jake (Kirsten), Keeley (Scout), Jordan, Kullen, Kloe, Reagan, Ally Claire, Lillyanna; great grandson Brooks Ragland and great granddaughter, Sunny Puckett.

Jim was a veteran and served in the Texas National Guard. Jim was a member of the 1965 graduating class of Texas Senior High School and held a bachelor's degree from East Texas State University.

Memorial services will be held at Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas Boulevard, at 2:00pm on Monday, May 5. Visitation will be prior to the service, beginning at 1:00pm.
