James Edward "Jim" Hubbard, age 82, of Texarkana, Arkansas went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, April 24, 2026, surrounded by family.

Jim was born on October 18, 1943, in Ben Lomond, Arkansas and lived in Texarkana most of his life. He retired from Red River Army Depot and served proudly for twenty-eight years in the National Guard and Army Reserves, achieving the rank of Sergeant 1st Class. He was a faithful member of Northern Hills Baptist Church, where he served in the jail ministry for several years.  He had a funny sense of humor and never hesitated to share his love of Jesus with a friend or stranger. Jim loved watching football, especially Pleasant Grove games. He never missed any of his grandchildren's activities, whether it was a school event, football game, or any sport or music recital. He took great pride in his family. He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Hubbard, his two sisters, Margaret Shans and Mary Jo Haggard.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Edwina Hubbard of Texarkana, Arkansas; his daughter and son-in-law; Amanda and Glenn Yowell of Texarkana, Texas; two brothers, Walter Hubbard and David Hubbard; three grandchildren, Anna Humphrey and husband, Will, Abby Mabry and husband, Blake and Silas Yowell; two great grandchildren, Graham Humphrey and Allison Mabry and a host of friends and other relatives.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P. M. on Wednesday, Apri 29, 2026, at Rondo Memorial Park with Dr. Roger Copeland officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas with military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P. M. to 7:30 P.M.
