Harvey Lee Briley, age 80, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026. Harvey was born on July 1, 1946, in Texarkana, Texas to Mary Ella Briley and Julius Briley.

He retired from International Paper in Domino, Texas, after many years of dedicated service. Harvey enjoyed spending his free time fishing and playing tennis. More than anything, he cherished the time he spent with his family, especially making memories with those he loved.

He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Briley; his mother, Mary Ella Briley; his brother, Oscar Briley; and his sister, Anne Loretta Briley.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Darlene "DeeDee" Briley; his children, Cristy Jamison (Warren Jamison) of Houston, Texas, Alana Hodges (Kyle Hodges) of Dallas, Texas, and Dustin Briley of Texarkana, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Shayla Jamison and Christopher Jamison; his sister, Erma Victor (Robert Victor) of DeSoto, Texas; and his three brothers, Julius Briley Jr. (Charline) of Texarkana, Texas, Carl Briley Sr. (Barbara) of Longview, Texas, and James Briley (Waynette) of Cedar Hill, Texas.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Chapelwood Funeral Home, with Rev. Bobby Hodges officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral service.
