Gary Paul Tompkins, age 58, of Hooks, Texas, passed away on June 14, 2025.

He was born on October 4, 1966,  in Grants Pass, Oregon, to Evelyne McDonald. He spent his working days as a security guard for Cornerstone Retirement Community. He loved spending his free time studying the word of God as well as spending time with his grandson Ayden. They loved to go fishing together and spend time outdoors. His family described him as a kind soul. Always generous and happy to be with his family. He always put everyone before himself.

He was preceded in death by his Wife Lynn Tompkins. After 8 years apart, they are reunited in heaven.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother, Evelyne McDonald, Daughter Chloe Adams, Grandson Ayden Lane; Brother Terry Tompkins, Niece Haley Tompkins, Nephew Jeremy Tompkins, Brother Marc Tompkins, niece Mikayla Viator, and Nephew Michael Tompkins.

A memorial service for Gary will be held Saturday, June 28, 2025, at 10 am at Circle J Cowboy Church, 6912 Blackman Ferry Rd. Texarkana, AR.
