Freddie G. Sanders, age 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Sunday, December 21, 2025 in a local nursing center.

Mr. Sanders was born January 30, 1940 in Tatum, Texas. He was a retired police officer and a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Jane Sanders.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Freddie Sanders Jr. and Sandy Sanders of Hooks, Texas; one daughter, Sharla Hanna of Redwater, Texas; five grandchildren, Summer Shaw and husband Robbie, Brittany Porter, April House and husband Roger, Nigel Tubb and Seth Sanders and wife Ashley; eleven great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Roy Ford officiating.
