William Ernest Crow, age 94, of Atlanta, TX passed away on Monday, May 11, 2026.

Ernest was born on June 25, 1931, in Queen City, to Sanford and Pearl Crow. He worked for 18 years in New Mexico with El Paso Natural Gas as a machinist before returning home to East Texas, where he worked various jobs, including building houses and owning a service station on New Boston Road where he introduced the "Gulf Girls." Ernest was an incredibly hardworking man who always kept himself busy.

He was also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force who served during the Korean War. During his service, he received several honors and medals, including the Korean Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, and Army of Occupation Medal. Ernest was a Christian by faith and a member of Queen City Baptist Church.

Ernest was preceded in death by his first wife, Lucille F. Crow; his parents, Sanford and Pearl Crow; and his sister, Joyce Kennedy.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Crow of Atlanta, TX; his son, Lex Crow and wife Brenda of Texarkana, TX; stepdaughter, Beckey Berry and husband Joel of Atlanta, TX; grandchildren, Heath Harris of Hot Springs, AR, Alex Crow and wife Allison of Texarkana, TX, Ray Thompson and wife Kori of Gilmer, TX, and Jennifer Hughes and husband Brandon of Lavon, TX, great-grandchildren, Charlotte Crow, Saylor Harris, Lucy Harris, Joshua Thompson, Nathan Thompson, and Skylar Hughes; sister, Carol Eakman of San Antonia, TX;  along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, in the chapel of Chapelwood Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Rex Sheets officiating.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Burial will follow at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.
