Erika Castaneda, age 45, of Fouke, Arkansas, passed away on September 15, 2026. She was born on August 21, 1981, in Durango. Mexico, to Maria and Bernabe Castaneda.

Erika was a devoted stay-at-home mother who found her greatest joy in caring for her family. She cherished the time she spent with her loved ones and took pride in making sure those around her felt loved and cared for. She especially enjoyed cooking and being outdoors, making memories with her family along the way.

Erika was a kind, caring, and loving woman with a heart for helping others. She never hesitated to care for anyone who was in need.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Gallegos Castaneda.

She is survived by her husband, Gabriel Aguilar; her children, Jesus Aguilar, Jessica Aguilar, Daniel Aguilar, Maria Adela Aguilar; her father, Bernabe Castaneda; and her five siblings, Juan Castaneda (brother) Lenor Aguilar (sister), Adrian Castaneda (brother) Maria Serrano (sister), Teresa Vazquez (sister); along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6:00-7:30 PM on Thursday, September 24, 2026, with rosary starting at 6:00 PM.

A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Texarkana Funeral Home – Texas.
