Elizabeth "Betty" Ruth Franks, age 91 of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on April 25, 2026. She was born on October 12, 1934, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to Rachel and Homer Taylor.

She spent her working days as a homemaker. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, attending the flea markets, collecting antiques, buying, selling, and socializing with the other vendors. It is known that she was an avid bird watcher, "Birder". She loved the Collins Senior Citizen Center.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by both of her parents; her son, Joseph Johnston; and sister Gwen Henderson.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Jimmy Franks of Texarkana; her daughter Teresa Frazier and husband Ricky; four grandchildren, Kayla Finigan, Mason Johnston, Rachel Curfman and Karli Hano; six great-grandchildren, Cruz Juarez, Ella Arnold, Wesson Tiffie, Willow Curfman, Wrigley and Wrenley Hano; her two beloved dogs, Tegan and Sister; two nephews, William Henderson and wife Val Wingfield, James Taylor Henderson and wife Deana Henderson and a host of other family and friends.

Family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date.
