Derris L. Dillard, age 79, of Texarkana, Arkansas, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Dillard was born on September 2, 1946, in Prescott, Arkansas. Mr. Dillard retired from the United States Army National Guard after faithfully serving his country for 23 years. He retired from the Potlatch Lumber Mill in Prescott, Arkansas. A quiet and humble man by nature, he was devoted to his family, his church, and his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Jo Dillard.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Dillard of Texarkana, Arkansas; his two daughters, Lisa Adams and her husband, Stacy; and  Dana Elliott and her husband Robert; one son, Jeremy Dillard; two stepdaughters, Wendy Stanton and her husband, Pete, Rosemary Greer and her husband, David; two stepsons, Darrell Weaver and David Weaver and his wife Carla;  cousin, Betty Ann Hart Kenzel; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 P. M. Saturday, June 13, 2026, at Old Center Cemetery in Horatio, Arkansas, with Bro. Mike Beck officiating.  Burial will be under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Arkansas.

The family will receive friends at Texarkana Funeral Home in Arkansas on Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
