Delia Lewis Pittman, age 76, of Prescott, Arkansas, passed away on September22,2026. She was born on December 4, 1949, to Elsie Morrow Lewis and Thurman Lewis.

Delia worked for a total of 30 years as a jailer, dispatcher, and control room operator at the Howard, Hempstead, and Nevada County jails. Those who knew her through her work fondly called her “Miss Dee.”

Delia loved her girls, her 6 grandchildren, and now her 11 great-grandchildren. Her excitement, energy, patience, and love for each one of them were clear to everyone around her. She made each one feel so very special, and she treasured any time that they spent together.

During the four years she lived in Puerto Rico in the 1970s, Delia fell in love with the beach. She carried that love throughout her life and delighted in sharing beach days with her girls, grandchildren, and even her great-grandchildren.

In her younger years, Delia loved to dress up. She had an eye for fashion and often stepped out in high heels, especially stilettos - bringing a touch of elegance wherever she went out. She loved playing music loudly, reading Rolling Stone magazine, and going to concerts. She also loved bright colors and enjoyed surrounding herself with them.

She loved hosting get-togethers at her home and seeing everyone gathered around, visiting and enjoying one another’s company. Her chicken spaghetti, lasagna, and cherry Yum Yum recipes will be treasured by her family for years to come.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her sister Ann Cummings, and nephew, Jeff Butler.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters - Angie Pittman Reeder (Sam), Danna Pittman (Chris), and Natalie Pittman. Grandchildren - Megan Tullis (Brandon), Jade McKelvy (Daniel), Seth Reeder (Megan), Skyeler Reeder (Samantha), Randi Key (Casey), and Sasha Pittman. Great grandchildren Will Reeder, Slade Tullis, Laura Brooke Reeder, Lorraine McKelvy, Harlyn Tullis, Ruel McKelvy, Joseph Reeder, Raelynn Key, Amelia Reeder, Savanna Key, and Matthew Reeder. Sisters Walene Howell, Halycon Butler, Jauan Lewis, and brother Steve Lewis (Martha-Lucia), and nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life for “DeeDee” will be held at Central Baptist Church in the Stokes Center, on Saturday, October 3rd, in Prescott, Arkansas at 11:00 a.m.
