Deborah Parks Young, age 72, of Dallas, Texas, died on Monday, September 21, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1953, in Houston, TX, to her parents, Raymond and Shirlene Parks. She was employed with JCPenney’s for 20 years and worked various other retail jobs. She was also a loving homemaker, as well as a prayer warrior and Christian. The earth has slightly diminished without her, but Heaven has been made richer.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Kenneth Young, mother, Shirlene Parks; her children, Bruce, Donald, Joel, and Rachel; stepsons, Mark, Steve, Dennis; three sisters, Laura, Janie, and Lisa; one brother, Mark; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.

Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Chapelwood Funeral Home.
