Christa Ecroyd, age 87, of Fouke, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, on Sunday, June 21, 2026.

She was born on October 30, 1938, in Mannheim, Germany to her parents. She was a devoted wife, mom, and homemaker. She proudly spent her days raising her four children. During her free time, she enjoyed bowling, tending to her flower beds, and dancing.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Freda and Robert Diffenbach of Germany; and her sister, Irmgard Antos of Germany.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Dowie Ecroyd of Texarkana; her son and daughter-in-law, Owen and Kathy Ecroyd of Winnsboro, Texas; her daughters and sons-in-law, Dora and Guy Sanders of New Boston, Texas, Susi and Ricky Dodson of Fouke, Arkansas, Brenda and Arnold Smith of Hooks, Texas; 8 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her special friends, Jodie and Rachael Bain of Doddridge, Arkansas; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dierksen Hospice for the wonderful care that they received.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, in the chapel of Chapelwood Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 PM.

The family will receive visitors for a celebration of life at 12856 Hwy 71 in Fouke, Arkansas 71837, immediately following the visitation.
