Carl Edward Martin, age 85, of Texarkana, AR, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at his residence.

Carl was born on October 27, 1939, to his parents, John and Violet Martin in Jellico, TN.

Carl was a retired maintenance worker at Bi-State. He enjoyed working in his shop and building various things, especially bird houses. He also enjoyed playing cards with friends and spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Scott Thomas; as well as three brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife, Angelyn Martin of Texarkana, AR, his children, Eddie Martin of San Antonio, TX, Scott Martin of Texarkana, AR; and Tammy Thomas of Texarkana, AR; eight grandchildren, Tyler Thomas, and wife, Kalyn, Kristen Thomas, Katie McClure, and husband, Hunter, Bronson Martin, Alec Martic, Carlie Martin, and fiancé, John, Caitlyn Martin, and fiancé, Brandon; nine great grandchildren; one sister, Shelby Martin of Celina, OH; special relative, Joyce Horton, and special friends, Calvin and Cindy Seward.

Cremation arrangements are under the care of Texarkana Funeral Home - Arkansas.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
