Caitlin Rayanne McCorkle, 23, of Hooks, Texas, passed away on February 12, 2026, in her home. She was a bright, beautiful girl, whose life and light are gone entirely too soon.

She was born on September 2, 2002, in Dallas, Texas, and moved to Hooks with her father in 2015, where she attended Hooks Jr. High and Hooks High School. She graduated in 2021, with Honors and enough dual credits to be a college sophomore. That Fall she began attending Texarkana Community College with plans to become a psychiatrist.

Caitlin was known for her drive and compassion, as well as her quick wit, sarcastic sense of humor, and outgoing personality. She juggled work, school, and caring for her grandparents. Caitlin was very close with her family and loved the outdoors. She enjoyed traveling on vacations and getting together with friends, but her favorite thing was spending time with her brothers on their grandparents' farm.

Caitlin is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Sandra McCorkle and Ross Allison; and her aunt, Raynell McCorkle.

She is survived by her immediate family: her father, Raymond McCorkle of Hooks, Texas; her mother, Robbi Foshee of Logansport, Louisiana; and her brothers, Christian Aycock of Denton, Texas; and Brayden Buckingham of Little Elm, Texas; as well as her grandmother Freddie Allison of Logansport. And her extended family: aunts Raylynn McCorkle-Warner and Jami Clements; uncle John Moseley; and countless other loved ones.

Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5). In that spirit, her family is hosting a Celebration of Life in the Youth Building (Fellowship Hall) at Myrtle Springs Baptist Church of Hooks, at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 7, where friends can share their memories of our precious Caitlin.

Cremation is under the direction of Chapelwood Funeral Home.
