Bobbie Wayne Abston II, age 54, of Texarkana, Texas, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026. He was born on December 4, 1971, in Orange Park, Florida, to Margaret Elaine Bailey and Bobbie Wayne Abston.

Bobbie was the kind of man you didn't forget once you met him—mainly because he never let you stay a stranger for long. Whether he was driving for Lyft, Uber, or DoorDash, or simply out and about, Bobbie had a way of turning everyday moments into meaningful conversations. He loved people, plain and simple, and he made sure they knew it.

More than anything, Bobbie loved the Lord. He didn't just talk about his faith—he lived it. He shared God's word openly, encouraged others when they were down, and wasn't afraid to speak truth with kindness. His heart for people showed in the way he gave—whether it was his time, a listening ear, or even a place to stay for someone who had nowhere else to go. If you needed help, Bobbie didn't hesitate.

He found joy in the simple things—long conversations with family, checking in on friends, and reminding those around him that they mattered. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith left a lasting mark on everyone who knew him.

To his family, Bobbie was a loving husband, a devoted brother, and a steady presence who cared deeply. He was proud of his family and held them close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepmother, Dorothy Abston; and his grandparents, German "Penny" Giffin and James Preston "Bud" Abston.

Left to carry his memory forward is his beloved wife, Brooke Abston; his siblings, Kenneth Anthony Abston, Amanda Jean Abston, Kawha Abston, Diana Michelle Abston, Apollo Rashad Latimer, Katrinka Linnette Latimer, Novia Elese Latimer, Rebecca Kimberly Jermaine Abston and Samme Lee Latimer; along with many extended family members and friends who will continue to feel his impact in their lives.

Bobbie's life was a reflection of love, faith, and compassion—and though he will be deeply missed, the kindness he gave so freely will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
