Samuel T. Pool, age 85, of Texarkana, Texas, died Wednesday, June 20, 2012 in a local hospital.
Mr. Pool was born June 21, 1926 in Batesville, Arkansas. He was retired from Day and Zimmerman Inc., was a Christian an attended Westside Church of Christ, a member of the Masonic Lodge 69 in New Boston, Texas, Order of the Eastern Star, V. F. W. and the Disable American Veterans. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in War World II and the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Elma A. Pool.
He is survived by his wife: Willie Bonzell Pool of Texarkana, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law: Alvin and Roxanna Pool of Simms, Texas; one daughter: Betty Adcock of New Boston, Texas; two stepsons and one step daughter- in-law: Richard Stone of Texarkana, Texas; Rorie and Connie Stone of Texarkana, Texas; one step daughter: Merle Morris of Texarkana, Texas; seven grandchildren ten great grandchildren and a number of other relatives.
Funeral services will be 10:00 A. M. Friday at Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Steve McIntosh officiating. Burial will be in Chapelwood Memorial Gardens with military honors and Masonic rites.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P. M.
