Life Legacy
Vernon Jackson Mr. Vernon Lee Jackson, age 64, of Texarkana, Arkansas, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Jackson was born March 23, 1944, at Murfreesboro, Arkansas, and had lived in Texarkana for most of his life. He was a member of the Baptist Church, the VFW, and was retired from the United States Army, having served in the Viet Nam War. He was preceded in death by his son, Delbert Jackson, and a daughter, Cindy Smith. Survivors include two daughters, Melissa Starks and Vicky Jackson, a special friend, Elsie Palmore of Texarkana, Arkansas, and a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Graveside services will be at 11:00 A. M. Friday at Shiloh Cemetery, Texarkana, Arkansas, with Rev. Doug Frost officiating.
