Life Legacy
Joyce Evelyn James, 79, of Texarkana, TX, died Saturday, September 6, 2008, in a local hospital. She was born October 28, 1928, in DeKalb, TX. She was retired from Liberty Eylau Independent School District and was a member of Eylau Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joy James; a son, Benjamin James; and a daughter, Catherine Hosey. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dennis Randall James and Dylan and Ashley James; Marisa Homer, Jessica and Shawn Roach, Tonya Hyman, and Denah James; two sisters, Carol Ann Lacefield and Jean Contreras; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other relatives. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Texarkana Funeral Home, Texas.
