Life Legacy
Ed James Morris Edward James, age 63, of Texarkana, Texas, died Friday, September 28, 2007, at his lodge in Lodi, Texas, where he was preparing for the upcoming hunting season. Mr. James was born June 18, 1944, at Texarkana, Arkansas, and had lived in Texarkana most of his life. He was a member of the Redwater United Methodist Church and formerly the First United Methodist Church of Texarkana, Texas. He was retired from the Texas Workforce Commission and the Texas National Guard. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris S. and Mabel James. Survivors include his wife, Debbie Brock James of Texarkana, Texas, one daughter and son-in-law, Hayley and Charles Smith of Wake Village, Texas, one granddaughter, Carson Law, age 9, of Wake Village, Texas, one grandson, Austin Smith, age 2, of Wake Village, Texas, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Charles Shilling of Texarkana, Texas, Jane and Jerry Rochelle of Texarkana, Texas, five nephews, David Nichols, Scott Nichols, Jeff Rochelle, Jon Brock, and Jeff Brown, two nieces, Jennifer Landry, and Tina Shearman, and several special great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday at the Chapelwood Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Cranford Graves officiating. Burial will be at the Old Foundry Cemetery, Lodi, Texas. THE FAMILY WILL RECEIVE FRIENDS AT THE FUNERAL HOME FROM 6 PM UNTIL 7:30 PM TUESDAY.
